This summer we had our first in home kitchen table experience. It was so nice to be able to go into someone’s kitchen and give them a restaurant style dinner in the comfort of their own home. What was even nicer, was the fact it was for some long time customers, who spent all their big occasions in the restaurant. They were disappointed that they could no longer have these days at the restaurant, but were excited about having us come into their home! I served each course, describing the dish, offering a little story about the products, etc. As the evening progressed, the conversion grew and soon everyone was sharing food, wine, and restaurant stories. What a great way to spend an evening! Learn more about this experience The Kitchen Table Experience

The evening gave these clients an opportunity pull out plates and glassware that had never been used, and some had been passed down from the grand parents!

We started off with fresh baked focaccia with All of Oils gremolata oil and dried Klipper’s Organics chilies

Next came crostini topped with our cured Muscovy duck breast prosciutto, Okanagan peach chutney, and Backyard Farms borage flowers

Salad course was some Glorious Organics greens, Agassiz feta cheese, pickled Close to Home Organics fennel, Backyard Farms tomato, and a BC Buzz honey and balsamic vinaigrette

For the seafood course we served steamed Sawmill Bay clams with homemade pork and cider sausage and braised collard greens

For the palate cleanser, we served some sparkling mineral water with a splash of All of Oils cranberry and pear white balsamic vinegar

Entree was slow roasted bison strip loin, Canadian lentil ragout, Glorious Organics green beans and a herb and truffle butter

Perfectly cooked bison!

The finale! Olive oil chocolate “truffle” with Laurica Farms raspberry and roasted pepper jelly; All of Oils butter flavored olive oil drizzle
